O Marvel Studios will not release more than five titles per year from now on, revealed the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger. Speaking at a meeting with shareholders, the executive of the company that owns Marvel said that the team led by Kevin Feige There will be a maximum of three films and two series per year.

“I’ve been working hard with our studios to reduce quantity and focus on quality, and that’s particularly true with Marvel,” Iger explained. “We will slowly reduce the volume and will probably go with two series per year, instead of what was four, and we will reduce our number of films from up to four to two or at most three per year.”

Interestingly, Marvel has never released four films a year (unless you count 2022 with Spider-Man: No Way Homea production of Sony Pictures), but the studio usually schedules four films in a year and ends up postponing one of them.

“We’re working hard to build that path, we have some good movies in 2025 and then we’re heading into more Avengers, which we’re extremely excited about,” the executive added. Avengers 5 is scheduled for 2026.
