Chris Buck, director of Disney, confirmed one of the most popular theories among fans: that Tarzan, Anna and Elsa are siblings!

This is because, in Greek mythology, Triton, Ariel’s father, is the son of Poseidon, who is the brother of Zeus and father of Hercules. Thus, Triton and Hercules are first cousins ​​and, consequently, Hercules and Ariel are second cousins.

Among many other theories, there was one that the director of Frozen and Tarzan, Chris Buck, faithfully believes and stated in an interview with MTV in 2014: the theory about Anna, Elsa and Tarzan being siblings. Buck highlights in the interview that Frozen co-director Jennifer Lee commented on this.

According to Buck, Anna and Elsa’s parents did not die in the shipwreck, as previously thought, but had a child on the boat before the accident. This son survived and was raised by gorillas in the wild, becoming Tarzan. The theory is based on the physical similarity of the kings of Arendelle and the king of the jungle’s parents, as well as the fact that both couples were victims of shipwrecks.

Although the theory has not been officially confirmed by Disney, Chris Buck encourages fans to believe whatever they want, and highlights: “Whatever people want to believe, go ahead. If you want to unite them all, do it. That’s the spirit of Disney.”
