Not long ago, the price of R$100,000 meant that cars were expensive. Above that were large models, trucks and imported ones. Today, thanks to inflation in recent years, the Covid-19 pandemic and the reduction in the supply of popular cars, the options below this value have dwindled.

The cheapest car in Brazil, which is the Fiat Mobi Like, starts at R$72,990. This is an entry-level subcompact, hatchbacks and compact sedans already cost around R$100,000, with many cars having their most interesting versions above this amount. 1. Chevrolet Onix

Chevrolet’s entry-level car grew in the new generation and gained an efficient 1.0 three-cylinder engine in place of the warrior Family 1. The Onix is one of the few cars under R$100,000 with six airbags and offers good interior space.
2. Chevrolet Onix Plus

For those looking for a new sedan and on a limited budget, the Chevrolet Onix Plus LT offers a good combination of interior space and equipment. Its entry-level version is close to the R$100,000 limit, but it already has six airbags, a multimedia center, twilight sensor and a face-to-face key.
3. Citroën C3

Almost the entire Citroën C3 line is below R$100,000, above this value there is only the top of the line Feel Pack 1.6 automatic for R$100,990. The French compact was positioned with subcompact prices, but highlights the good internal space, the high suspension and the smart 1.0 Firefly engine.

The Fiat Argo offers a good range of options for those looking for a car under R$100,000. The Trekking 1.3 model and the Drive 1.3 CVT are well equipped for this price range and have an economical engine. Furthermore, it is the cheapest automatic in Brazil
5. Fiat Cronos

The Fiat Cronos in the Drive 1.3 version is the only option for those looking for a compact sedan in this price range with a stronger engine than a naturally aspirated 1.0. Along with the more powerful engine, the consumer will receive equipment such as a multimedia center, sound with six speakers, electric windows on all four doors and a reverse sensor.
6. Fiat Mobi
- Mobi Like: R$ 72,990
- Mobi Trekking: R$ 75,990
The Mobi is the cheapest car in Brazil. Today it has only two versions, both with the old four-cylinder Fire engine. Despite being cramped, in the Trekking version it is packed with convenience equipment to compensate for the lack of internal space.

8. Hyundai HB20s

The Hyundai HB20 sedan also offers very well-equipped options for those looking for a sedan under R$100,000. However, it is not as spacious as the rival Onix Plus.
9. Peugeot 208

- 208 Allure Turbo: R$ 99,990
The Peugeot 208 is stylish, fun to drive and aggressively priced. The Allure 1.0 turbo version is the only supercharged version on this list and also the fastest under R$100,000: it goes from zero to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 206 km/h.
10 Renault Kwid

- Kwid Intense Pack Biton: R$ 79,430

The Renault Kwid has all its versions below R$100,000, except the electric E-Tech. Unlike the rival Mobi, the French subcompact offers four airbags and comes with a radio as standard in all versions.
11. Renault Stepway

The Renault Sandero is discontinued with its original name, but continues with the adventurous Stepway. The only version below R$100,000 is the 1.0, which brings an interesting equipment package for its segment and good interior space.
12.Renault Logan
- Logan Life 1.0: R$ 97,010
The Logan still survives in two versions, both with a 1.0 engine. The only one under R$100,000 is Life, which is quite spartan. Among its advantages is the interior space and the large trunk.
13. Toyota Yaris
The Toyota Yaris and its sedan are the only Japanese ones on the list. The 1.5 XL version is among the cheapest automatics in the country and already has seven airbags and a multimedia center.
14. Toyota Yaris Sedan
- Yaris Sedan XL 1.5: R$ 97,990
Toyota charges the same prices for the Yaris hatch and sedan. The equipment and engine package are also identical, which makes the three-box model a considerable option in this price range.
15. Volkswagen Polo
- Polo Track: R$89,290
- MPI Pole: R$ 92,350
Volkswagen only offers aspirated versions of the Polo with an aspirated engine below R$100,000. The MPI comes with equipment such as full-LED headlights, a multimedia center and side airbags.
16. Volkswagen Saveiro
- Saveiro Robust 1.6 CS: R$ 99,990
The Volkswagen Saveiro is the last pickup truck under R$100,000. It has a 1.6 16v engine, air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes, electric windows and reverse sensor.
