Shooting took place in São Lourenço da Mata, in Greater Recife

A birthday party ended with a man dead, a woman injured and a 16-year-old teenager arrested in São Lourenço da Mata, in Greater Recife. According to the Civil Police, the young man was detained with a gun in the house where the celebration was taking place. The birthday girl reported that unknown people broke into the house and shot her partner. (see video above).

The case happened on Wednesday night (8). The Military Police reported that the 20th battalion was called and, at the scene, found a 35-year-old woman injured by a bullet in the stomach and her companion dead, a 33-year-old man.

The woman, according to the PM, reported that unknown people invaded the birthday party and shot the man. This woman’s lawyer, Aristotle Alves Roque, told TV Globo that this man, during the celebration, took out his own gun and fired shots into the air.

After that, unknown people arrived at the house and shot the man. One of these shots also hit the birthday girl, who was grazed by a bullet.

The Civil Police said that, at the scene, a 16-year-old teenager, son of the woman who was shot, was arrested for criminal acts similar to murder, attempted murder and illegal possession of a weapon.

The injured woman, however, told the police that the teenager seized is her son and that he was not at home at the time of the shooting, but that, upon arriving, he tried to get rid of his stepfather’s gun.

The injured couple was taken to a local hospital, but the man succumbed to his injuries and died after being transferred to Hospital da Restauração, in the Derby neighborhood, central area of ​​Recife.
