The Civil Police of Maranhão, through the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP) of Imperatriz, served the temporary arrest warrant against a 22-year-old man suspected of participating in a homicide. The arrest was made last Wednesday afternoon(8).
In the early hours of July 11, 2022, the victim identified as Adriano Delamarque de Sousa, aged 33, was murdered with blows from a wooden rod and a glass bottle in Vila Lobão. The victim would have been lured to a convenience in front of a concert hall, where the crime would have been carried out by the prisoner and five other individuals.
Based on the police report, the specialized police station decided to temporarily detain the suspect. The representation was fully approved by the Inquiry and Custody Center, with the favorable opinion of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect was arrested when he arrived home.
The investigations remain ongoing. After the formalities, the investigated person was taken to the prison unit.
