Driver loses control of truck, knocks down 4 poles and only stops after hitting a church wall in Grande Natal | large northern river

The driver of a truck lost control of the vehicle, knocked over four poles and only stopped when it hit the wall of a church on the banks of BR-101, in Emaús, Parnamirim.

The accident happened around 11am this Thursday (9), towards Natal. The road was closed and the Federal Highway Police went to the scene to guide drivers.

The truck was loaded with gravel and was overturned after it hit the church wall.

Neoenergia Cosern reported that teams from the distributor are on site starting the process of replacing the six poles and that 2,981 customers were without power at 10:19 am. “Based on maneuvers in the electrical system, Neoenergia Cosern restored the supply to 1,473 customers at 11:09 am. The technical teams are working to ensure that the energy supply to the remaining customers is normalized as soon as possible”, says the note.
