With Recife reaching the largest fleet in the Northeast, Sicredi specialist points out that an increase in the supply of financing boosts the sector
The electric car fleet increased more than two and a half times in Pernambuco between March 2022 and March 2024, according to data from the National Traffic Secretariat (Senatran). With this, Recife became the capital with the largest fleet of this type in the Northeast. According to the survey, there are 7900 electrified vehicles running in the state, where 58% are registered in the capital alone.
The numbers also take into account hybrid models, which use fuels other than electricity to power their engines. The research proves the full growth in demand for this type of automobile, which still represents only 0.22% of the state’s total fleet.
