Two days after the death of Israeli tourist Alma Bohadanaat least three people have already been interviewed by the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC), which is investigating what caused them to fall from a cliff of approximately 15 meters high in Santa Teresa, on Sunday night (5). Hen told the police that the two were returning from a trail to Christ the Redeemer at the time of approach. According to him, the car approached and one of the occupants asked for the young woman’s belongings and advanced towards her, which was very close to the road protection wall, which reaches the height of an adult person’s knee. In her friend’s version, Alma tried to move away, but lost his balance on the wall and fell. The car’s occupants fled. According to the Israeli’s testimony, he went down the stairs looking for his friend, but it was difficult to find him because of the number of trees and the darkness. When he found her, she was still alive and crying in pain. Alma suffered several fractures and died before firefighters arrived at the scene.

Two other witnesses who saw the boy go down the stairs to help Alma also testified at the Capital Homicide Police, as well as a third Israeli, who is traveling with Hen and who is staying in the same hostel as the two, told the police that they arrived in Rio for the Madonna concert and decided to stay a few more days. Soul traveled alone through Brazil and met them at the hostel. A representative from the Israeli Consulate accompanied the young people to the police station, but they did not want to speak to the press.

Alma’s body was taken to the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) and awaiting release. Before coming to Rio, Alma Bohadana spent around three months in Salvador, Bahia. In the hostel where she stayed, she drew a mandala with capoeiristas and left great memories for the employees. “A beautiful soul, an artist, always smiling, radiant, talkative, very intelligent. We had fun, laughed, talked and danced a lot. She had learned to samba and shared a lot of her Israeli culture. She will forever stay here, with us, in the mandala that she painted with so much love, in every detail,” wrote one of them.
