People from all corners of the world Brazil mobilize in a solidarity chain to help the population of Rio Grande do Sul, which has been suffering from the impacts of floods in recent weeks. See how to contribute from Pernambuco in the main donation channels and collection points in the state:

Airport and Post Office
O Recife International Airport, Located in Imbiribeira, South Zone of the capital of Pernambuco, it is among the 17 terminals managed by the concessionaire Aena that function as a collection point for donations. All you have to do is arrive at the place and look for an authority, who will direct you to the donation area.

Materials accepted for donations at Recife Airport are: drinking water, hygiene products, non-perishable food and clothing. It is worth remembering that items such as cooking oil, corrosive and/or flammable products cannot be donated.

You can donate at any branch of the Pernambuco Post Office. The state-owned company receives and transports food from the basic food basket, personal hygiene material, dry cleaning material, bed and bath linen and pet food free of charge – at no cost to donors. The Post Office is also donating clothing items and household items to those affected by the rains.

Muda Mundo Network
A Muda Mundo Networkin partnership with the Transforma Brasil de Trabalho Voluntário movement, receives donations through PIX or current account.

Olinda
The faculty Uninovo, former Facottur, is functioning as a space to receive donations in Olinda. The university center is in Bairro Novo, and the population can help by bringing hygiene products, clothing and non-perishable food.

Churches

INorth Zone Anglican Church (Rua Alfredo de Medeiros, 60, Espinheiro – Recife)
Delivery hours are from 9am to 8pm until Friday (10). Hygiene and cleaning items, water and non-perishable food will be accepted.

Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife (Metropolitan Curia: Av. Rui Barbosa, 409, Graças- Recife)
The Archdiocese of Olinda and Recife is receiving non-perishable food.

State Schools

All schools under the jurisdiction of the Regional Education Management (GRE) Recife Sul will accept non-perishable food, mattresses, blankets, hygiene materials and clothing until the end of the week.

Examples: Luís de Camões Reference School for Elementary Education (EREF) (R. Dr. Henrique Lins, S/N – Brasília Teimosa – Recife) and José Nivaldo Pereira Ramos State Technical School (Santa Cruz do Capibaribe).

Rue

O Holy Cross will make its stadium available from Monday to Saturday as a donation point. The opening hours will be from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and from 8am to 12pm on weekends. The club accepts non-perishable food.

Faculties

The faculty Cesar School will have donation points until Friday (10) in its three buildings located in Neighborhood of Recife Antigo. Non-perishable food, water, hygiene items and clothing will be accepted.
Adresses: Cesar School Apolo (Av. Cais do Apolo, 463); Cesar School Brum (Av. Cais do Apolo, 77) and Cesar School Tiradentes (Bione Street, 220).

The local committees of International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations in Brazil will organize donation points at four colleges until Friday (10). Non-perishable food (except oil), bed and bath linen, mineral water, personal hygiene items, disposable diapers and sanitary pads will be accepted.

Mal.Mascarenhas de Morais, 4861, Imbiribeira-Recife); UPE Academic Directory: (HUOC: Rua Arnóbio Marques, 310, Santo Amaro- Recife); Uninassau medicine coordination (R. Jonathas de Vasconcelos, 316, Boa Viagem- Recife); Afya (Av. Barreto de Menezes, 738, Prazeres- Jaboatão dos Guararapes).

CPOR

Recife Reserve Officer Preparation Center (Av. 17 de Aug., 1020, Casa Forte – Recife)
CPOR-R has teams 24 hours a day receiving sheets, towels, clothes, mineral water and non-perishable food.

Bank of Brazil
Banco do Brasil (BB) opened a channel for donating financial resources to benefit flood victims. According to the bank, R$5 million has already been obtained through the mobilization campaign and through transfers made by companies within its conglomerate.

In a note, BB informed that the resources have been used to purchase food, drinking water, hygiene and cleaning kits, goods and utensils.

Deposits can be made through Pix (email [email protected]) or in current account 51.000-9, in branch 1607-1.

BR Union Movement
In a partnership between public and private initiatives, the BR Union Movement It also receives donations to help the population affected by the rains.

The general population who wishes to contribute to the cause can make donations, via Pix, to the key [email protected]. The Children’s Institute is the NGO that manages the campaign’s finances.

Government of Rio Grande do Sul
Since last week, the government of Rio Grande do Sul has also made a Pix key available with the aim of centralizing donations and ensuring security for the donor. The SOS Rio Grande do Sul account is (CNPJ: 92.958.800/0001-38), linked to Banrisul bank.
