Jorge Seif denies that his family company stored 50 kg of hashish in SC; space is rented

Senator Jorge Seif denied that JS Pescados, his family’s company, is involved in the storage of 50 kg of hashish, which were seized by the PM (Military Police) last Friday (3).

The company is located in a business complex in the Barro do Rio neighborhood, in Itajaí, North Coast of Santa Catarina. According to JS Pescados, it is just one of the establishments that occupy the location, which is made up of several rooms rented to third parties.

Drug delivery man takes PM to Jorge Seif’s family shed

The police found a 20-year-old man who, on a motorcycle, was delivering 2 kg of drugs to the location. The man informed the police that there was a warehouse in the complex where approximately 50 kg of hashish were stored and took the police to the location.

The drugs, which had an estimated value of R$700,000, were seized by the PM and delivered together with the man to the police station for appropriate procedures.

JS Pescados denies searches

JS Pescados’ advisory highlights that the company was not the subject of a police search or any subpoena related to this case and, furthermore, that it has no relationship or involvement with the activities carried out in the other units.
