Woman is attacked by security at Tarauacá hospital

A video where a woman is attacked by a security guard in front of the Dr. Sansão Gomes Hospital, in the municipality of Tarauacá, 409 km from Rio Branco, gained repercussion on social media. Last Sunday (5), the State Department of Health (Sesacre) released a note repudiating the fact. (Check the full note below)

In the images, you can see the moment when the security guard knocks the woman to the ground and kicks her. Soon after, another man appears and even though he doesn’t attack the woman, he does nothing to prevent the attack. It is not yet known whether there was an apparent motive, nor the date on which the attack occurred.

The Secretary of Health, Pedro Pascoal, said that the conduct of the security guards does not reflect the values ​​and principles that guide care in health units and states that those responsible were removed.

“We strongly repudiate any type of violent or aggressive approach by our team”, he adds.

The Government of Acre, through the State Department of Health (Sesacre), is making public the incident that occurred recently, involving a woman and security guards at the Dr. Sansão Gomes Hospital, in the municipality of Tarauacá.

The hospital’s administrative team immediately asked the company to remove those involved. We are taking all necessary measures to investigate what happened and ensure that situations like this do not happen again.
