Training stimulates professional growth of healthcare employees

The Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF) took the first steps towards strengthening the Permanent Health Education Plan (Peps) 2024-2027. The ministry presented this Monday (6) the proposal for educational trails to all areas of the public network. The next movement, scheduled for Wednesday (8), will be the discussion with technical representatives and education centers. The objective is to structure the document, defining content, priorities and workload, among other points.

The plan will be a guide for actions by managers and those responsible for formulating proposals, organizing and executing continuing education activities aimed at health professionals. “We are talking about the appreciation of SUS employees [Sistema Único de Saúde]”, reinforces the Undersecretary of People Management at SES-DF, João Eudes.

With the principles of educational methodologies – personalization, progression, flexibility, diversity and feedback – six educational tracks were created: primary, secondary, hospital, health surveillance, management and server.

The training will be offered in a multi-professional manner, with the aim of covering the largest number of careers. The idea is to retain talent within SES-DF, stimulate personal and professional growth, and standardize knowledge throughout the network.

For the department’s Innovation and Knowledge Management coordinator, Mabelle Roque, Peps has already brought, for example, a different perspective to human resources management. “We moved from an exclusive focus on HR to actions that prioritize strengthening work management, through health education.”

Construction

In this initial phase, the Health Work and Education Management (GTES) team mapped the existing educational actions in the public health network, totaling 1,410 activities and more than 77 thousand employees already reached. The Foundation for Teaching and Research in Health Sciences (Fepecs) and the School for Improvement of the Unified Health System (Eapsus), as well as managers from the SES-DF sectors and civil servants, also collaborated in the preparation of the plan.

Next Wednesday (8), those responsible for the technical areas and the Permanent Health Education Centers (Neps) will meet at the National School of Public Administration (Enap). At the meeting, those involved will discuss and structure four learning paths (primary, secondary, hospital and surveillance), covering course content, categories and priorities.
