The Acre Theater Federation (Fetac) celebrates 46 years of history this May and the Municipal Theater Week program promises a lot of poetry, music and art to celebrate this special date.
With more than fifteen shows in various locations in the urban and rural areas of Rio Branco, the party that starts this Tuesday, 7th, and continues until Saturday, 11th, will include the public and artists of all ages who are contributing to the artistic scene and celebrate the creation of the federation on May 8, 1978.
The president of Fetac, Lenine Alencar, highlights that the celebration goes beyond a simple anniversary, being an opportunity to value and respect those who represent local culture.
“This action is not just support for theater workers, it is an action that involves several artists from other languages, and its purpose is for us to be able to find these people, whether they are the artists of the past who were in the struggle and resistance from the end of the 70s, to today’s artists”, he highlighted.
“So the party has the purpose of meeting these people and celebrating Fetac’s anniversary, and in terms of appreciation, respect for these people who still represent the mainstay of local culture, of our artistic work, of our cultural work. We will throw a beautiful cultural party for the population of Rio Branco with a cultural diversity of creative people from our place”, added the president of Fetac.
Furthermore, the project is funded by the Paulo Gustavo Law (LPG), through the Garibaldi Brasil Culture Foundation (FGB), Rio Branco City Hall, and has support from the Elias Mansour Culture Foundation (FEM) and partnership with the Social Service of Commerce in Acre (Sesc).
The cultural diversity and creativity of local artists promise to further enrich this cultural festival for the population of Rio Branco, with Fetac’s performance in another year of contribution to the Acre artistic scene. Check the schedule:
