Family asks for blood donation for young man shot in Praia do Flamengo | Rio de Janeiro

Rio – Family and friends are asking for blood donations for personal trainer Luis Felipe Alves do Nascimento, 27, shot in an attempted robbery at Praia do Flamengo, in the South Zone of Rio, on Sunday morning (5). The young man was shot twice in the chest and remains hospitalized in a serious but stable condition at the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon, in the same region.

According to witnesses, two men on a motorcycle approached the victim, who was accompanied by his girlfriend and friends, and announced a robbery. Luís would have reacted and that’s why he ended up shot. The incident happened around 6am.

On social media, one of the victim’s friends explained that Luís had severe bleeding after the shot hit his arteries, which was contained by the medical team.

His blood type is O+. To donate, people can go to Rua Frei Caneca, number 08, in the Center, or Rua das Laranjeiras nº 375.

The case is being investigated by the 9th DP (Catete).

Coup attempt

Amid the despair of Luís’ family, during the morning of this Monday (6), a suspect tried to carry out a scam, posing as a doctor, on one of the victim’s friends who is following the case closely at the hospital.

According to messages published on the networks, the suspect requested money to purchase a specific medication worth R$198.99.

“We had a change in the patient’s clinical condition. A drop in the levels of lymphocytes, which are cells that control infections in organisms, was detected. However, unfortunately we do not have the specific medication available. I contacted the medication representative, he has available. There is the possibility of requesting the order privately”, said the scammer.

Then, the friend offers to buy and asks the name of the medication, at which point the criminal indicates the price. However, suspecting the situation, the friend went to the hospital, where he realized it was a scam.
