Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) criticized the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva, for thanking the American singer for the tribute at her show. The presentation took place on Saturday (May 4, 2023) in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro.

The tribute
The minister’s photo was displayed on the screens of Madonna’s show along with other Brazilian personalities. Also honored were singer Gilberto Gil, pedagogue Paulo Freire, Rio councilor Marielle Franco and federal deputy Erika Hilton (Psol-SP), among other names.
Marina said “very honored to have been remembered” at the show “alongside Brazilian men and women of immense value, artistic, political and social contribution to our country”.
