Police cannot find Porsche driver to serve arrest warrant in SP

The São Paulo Civil Police attempted, this Saturday (4), to serve an arrest warrant against businessman Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, aged 24, but was unable to do so. The young man was not at home when the agents went looking for him.

Fernando was the driver of a Porsche, valued at more than R$1 million, which crashed in the early hours of March 31st. The accident killed a 52-year-old app driver in the east zone of São Paulo. The passenger in the Porsche, a friend of the businessman, was also injured in the accident (remember the case at the end of the article).

O businessman had preventive arrest ordered, on Friday night (3), by the São Paulo Court, which accepted the request made by the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo. The new arrest request had been made hours earlier by prosecutor Monique Ratton and the arrest warrant was signed by judge João Augusto Garcia, who called for the student’s arrest to be urgent.

Elizeu Camargo, Fernando Sastre’s lawyer, told G1 that he intended to file a habeas corpus with the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in the next few hours. However, the defender did not say whether the accused intended to surrender.

Businessman hits, kills app driver and escapes

O businessman and student Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, 24, crashed a Porsche valued at R$1 million in a Renault Sandero in the early hours of March 31, on an avenue in Tatuapé, in the east zone of São Paulo.

According to the incident report, the Porsche driver, identified as Fernando Sastre de Andrade Filho, aged 24, was above the maximum speed on the road, which is 50 km/h. After the accident, the driver’s mother went to the scene and stated that she would take her son to a hospital in Ibirapuera because he had a wound in his mouth.

The military ended up releasing Fernando and he left with his mother. However, when they arrived at the hospital to collect the driver’s version and take a breathalyzer test, they were informed that the man had not been admitted to any hospital in the network.

The app driver who was driving the Renault, Ornaldo da Silva Viana, aged 52, was rescued by firefighters with a cardiorespiratory arrest, but died shortly after being admitted to a hospital in Tatuapé. Ornaldo was alone at the time of the accident.

The Military Police tried to contact the businessman who was driving the Porsche by phone, but were unsuccessful. He presented himself at a police station the day after the accident.accompanied by a lawyer, and was released after giving a statement.
