The Civil Police (PCMG) of Manhuaçu, in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, is investigating the death of Jurcério Geraldo de Oliveira, 57 years old, attacked by a highway patrolman, who was allegedly threatened by the other man with a machete.
The incident occurred in Bairro Bom Pastor, in front of the city’s Civil Police Station. According to initial information, the patrolman had drawn his weapon and shot at the attacker to defend himself.
An inspection was taking place at the site, in joint work between the Military Police (PM) and the Federal Highway Police (PRF). Police and patrol officers stated that Jurcério arrived at the scene in a red Fiat Strada and observed the movement.
At one point, he got out of the car and attacked a highway patrolman.

Everything was accompanied by a police officer. The soldier shouted a warning to the patrolman, who took out his revolver and shot the attacker.

Samu was called, and the doctor confirmed the death. A PRF car was hit by some shots.
The place was isolated. The victim’s car was towed to the Detran yard, and the machete was seized, as was the patrolman’s weapon, who was arrested and presented to the local police chief, as provided by law.
