Almost 139 thousand people from Tocantins have already submitted their 2024 Income Tax Declaration

With the deadline for submitting the Income Tax Declaration (IR) 2024 approaching, 138,953 taxpayers from Tocantins have already fulfilled their tax obligation by this Saturday afternoon, the 4th.

According to data released by the Federal Revenue Service and made available in real time on its official website, it is estimated that approximately 250 thousand declarations will be delivered by the state this year.

Of the total declarations, 80.4% are entitled to a refund, while 9.6% will need to make a payment to the ‘lion’ due to income from the year 2023. The deadline for submitting declarations is the 31st of May. Among the financial statements already carried out, 46.3% were sent after pre-completion, 55.9% were simplified and 8.8% were rectifying statements.

The majority of declarations come from the capital, Palmas, with a total of 43,660 submissions to date. Next come Araguaína, with 18,357 declarations, and Gurupi, with 9,701.

It is necessary to declare who receives from R$ 30,639.90, has gross income from rural activity of R$ 153,199.50 or has assets worth more than R$ 800 thousand. To complete the declaration, the taxpayer can download the program on the Federal Revenue website, available for desktop computers and mobile devices with Android or iOS operating systems.

For taxpayers who are entitled to a refund, the installments will be paid from May 31st to September 30th, according to the following schedule:

  • 1st Batch: May 31st;
  • 2nd Batch: June 28th;
  • 3rd Batch: July 31st;
  • 4th Batch: August 30th;
  • 5th Batch: September 30th.
