A 20-year-old young man was shot dead inside his home, on Friday night (3), in the municipality of Rio Largo, in the metropolitan region of Maceió. The victim’s name was not released by authorities.
According to information contained in the official report from the Integrated Public Security Operations Center (Ciosp), the crime was recorded in the village of Mata do Rolo.
The PM reported that the criminals knocked down the bathroom door and fired several gunshots at the victim, resulting in his death on the spot. Thirteen detonated ammunition were found by the police at the scene of the crime.
Shortly after committing the crime, the perpetrators fled and their whereabouts remain unknown to date, leaving the local community in a state of shock and apprehension.
There is no information about the authorship and motivation for the crime. The case is being investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Department (DHPP).
Teams belonging to the Criminalistics (IC) and Legal Medical (IML) institutes were present at the scene to carry out the necessary legal procedures and begin investigations into the terrible event.
