Fell on all fours the number of dams at risk of failure in Rio Grande do Sul to two. The information comes from the State Government, which has been monitoring through the Secretariat for the Environment and Infrastructure (Sema), the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) and from the National System Operator (ONS), the situation of structures throughout the state.
These are the 14 de Julho dams, between Cotiporã and Bento Gonçalves, and the São Miguel dam, in Bento Gonçalves. Both are in an emergency situation. On July 14th, where there was partial rupture, Technicians from Companhia Energética Rio das Antas (Ceran) have been carrying out maintenance maneuvers since the morning, including the gradual release of water to relieve tension on the embankment – ​​the dam structure that contains the water. In São Miguel, where the slope began to slide, technicians from Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (Corsan) assess the situation. The Arroio Barracão Dam, in Bento Gonçalves, and the Saturnino de Brito Dam, in São Martinho da Serra, had their emergency declarations closed by Corsan technicians.
Five dams are on alert when there is a risk to the dam’s safety, requiring measures to maintain safety conditions. Are they:

UHE Bugres – Divisa Dam, in Canela
Samuara, in Caxias do Sul
Dal Bó, in Caxias do Sul
Capané, in Cachoeira do Sul
Another five dams are in a state of attention and do not represent a risk in the short term, but require monitoring, control or repair over time:
UHE Bugres – Blang Dam, in Canela
UHE Canastra, in Canela
UHE Monte Claro, in Bento Gonçalves/Veranópolis
UHE Castro Alves, in Nova Roma do Sul/Nova Pádua
PCH Furnas do Segredo, in Jaguari
The State reported that it continues to carefully monitor the Santa Lúcia dams, in Putinga; New from the estate of Aldo Malta Dihl, in Glorinha; Belo Monte, in Eldorado do Sul; and Filhos de Sepé, in Viamão.
