The Secretariat for Social Development (Sedes-DF) will promote, this Tuesday (7), an online public hearing to clarify Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the population about the expansion of institutional reception places for the population in situations of street in the Federal District. Participants will be able to ask questions about Public Call Notice No. 2/2024, which will conclude a collaboration agreement with CSOs to offer two thousand new places for the Reception Service for Adults and Families in institutional shelters or overnight stays.

The purpose of the hearing is to reinforce transparency in the bidding process and explain the main points of the notice, show how vacancies will be offered through lots and how this reception should be carried out, especially overnight stays, a new modality provided for in the public call. . The hearing is open to the community.

Public Hearing No. 01/2024 (virtual mode) will be held from 10am to 12pm, via the Zoom platform. Interested parties should access the link. Pre-registration will not be necessary.

“This hearing is open so that everyone can ask questions. Our technical area is prepared to clarify the conditions of this historic notice. There are two thousand new institutional care vacancies. We will also have overnight stays, which is a new reception format in the DF”, highlights the Secretary of Social Development, Ana Paula Marra. “I want to reinforce that the public hearing will be online to facilitate greater participation. Therefore, I invite everyone who is interested in this topic”, she adds.

New to the notice, the overnight stay will be aimed at temporarily welcoming homeless people at night, from 7pm to 7am, every day, including weekends and holidays

The new institutional care spaces will serve adults, between 18 and 59 years old, and families in various compositions, including children, adolescents and elderly people, in addition to specific groups, such as indigenous people, refugees, international migrants and other specific groups.

The overnight stay will be aimed at temporarily welcoming homeless people at night, from 7pm to 7am, every day, including weekends and holidays. There, they will be able to spend the night and sleep in rooms with clean beds, do personal hygiene, take a shower, in addition to having access to two meals a day (dinner and breakfast), services and benefits from the social assistance policy and other areas, such as health, education, work and income.

The total quantity of the notice is two thousand vacancies, distributed in 40 lots, with each lot consisting of 50 vacancies. There will be at least a thousand places in institutional shelters and 200 places for overnight stays. The definition of the nature of the remaining 800 vacancies will consider the identified needs of the public to be served in their territories, the assessment of adherence to the overnight reception model and other needs identified at the time of entering into future partnerships.

Proposals must be delivered with the registration form and completed forms by May 27th, during business hours, to the Headquarters Protocol Management, located at 515 Norte. The public call notice is available on the Sedes website.
