Child who survived the accident on SE-270 is discharged and welcomed by the community | Sergipe

Renata, a little girl just 11 years old, was discharged from Sergipe Governor João Alves Filho Emergency Hospital (Huse) this Friday (3). She was hospitalized for around 20 days after suffering a serious traffic accident on SE-270in which five people died, including her mother and brother.

According to family members, Renata is well, returned home and was welcomed by the community at a church in the Loiola neighborhood, in Lagarto. The child received prayers, gifts, lots of affection and became a symbol of overcoming and survival, despite the tragedy.

Remember the case

The accident occurred on the day April 14 of this year, involving three cars: a white Fiat Uno, occupied by the victims; a black Hyundai Vera Cruz; and a dark gray Voyage.

Police surveys recorded that the Voyage overtook the victims’ car, heading from Salgado to Lagarto, hitting the Hyundai Vera Cruz vehicle, which was traveling in the opposite direction, and it ended up colliding sideways with the victims’ Fiat Uno.

Furthermore, according to the police, the main cause of the accident was a prohibited overtaking carried out by one of the three vehicles.
