The seven suspects caught in the residence that functioned as a drug sales point were charged with the crimes of drug trafficking and association for drug trafficking.
The investigations began after Derf Nova Mutum police officers received information that the residence, located in the Beija-flor neighborhood, was experiencing an intense drug trafficking movement with a large flow of users in the area.
During monitoring of the address, the police verified the veracity of the information, capturing the moment when one of the suspects, upon noticing the police team, dispensed a portion of drugs. In view of the facts, the suspect was approached, confirming the information that there was a smoke pit in the residence.
In searching the location, the police seized 15 9 mm caliber ammunition, 80 cocaine pins, 25 portions of marijuana, 19 portions of cocaine base paste, in addition to numerous pins (eppendorf) used for packaging cocaine, cell phones and amount of money, possibly originating from drug trafficking.
Given the facts, the seven people who were in the house were taken to Derf, where, after being interrogated, they were charged with the crimes of drug trafficking and association for drug trafficking, and were subsequently placed at the disposal of the Court.
The chief delegate of Derf Nova Mutum, Rodrigo Rufato, highlighted that with the arrest of the suspects, investigations are ongoing. “In addition to the sale of drugs at the location, the investigations aim to determine whether supplies to other drug dealers were also being carried out at the address,” said the delegate.
