Cooperar Fair 35 years of Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA was a success on the border

The Feira Cooperar 35 years of Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA was a success with the public and sales on the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The second edition of the event was held in Ponta Porã on April 27th, where 80 exhibitors, Brazilians and Paraguayans, sold their products. The creative fair begins the Cooperative’s 35th anniversary program and is in partnership with O Balaio Feira Criativa, organized by producers Bi Miura, Fernanda Sabô and Thays Nogueira.

According to the cultural producer, Thays Nogueira, more than 3 thousand people from the border attended the event. “The public was impressive with Paraguayan visitors as well. And the turnover in the sale of products alone has already exceeded 60 thousand reais”, she highlighted. For Thays, the location where the fair took place was also another differentiator, as it allowed access for people from other neighborhoods of Ponta Porã and regions of the city, leaving the local shopping center.

The Feira Cooperar 35 anos has a samba circle with singer and composer Ana Paula Lopes, a food court with several food and drink options, free toys for children and the O Balaio bar, in addition to the participation of exhibitors with the sale of your products. The next municipalities to host the fair will be Ivinhema and Naviraí.

Similar to every edition of O Balaio, the Feira Cooperar 35 anos da Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA has the essence of cooperation, as it encourages the local economy and contributes to the economic and social development of the location where the Cooperative is present. The Balaio

Balaio Feira Criativa is a fair in Mato Grosso do Sul for art, crafts, culture, fashion, gastronomy, among many other areas involved. In Dourados, 18 editions of the fair have already been held and another three took place in Campo Grande. The event is already part of the calendar of fairs in Mato Grosso do Sul to encourage the creative economy.

Currently, the O Balaio fair has a participation network of around 800 exhibitors from Dourados, Campo Grande and the region, including the cities of Ponta Porã, Rio Brilhante, Itaporã, Glória de Dourados, Fátima do Sul among others.

35 years

On July 5th, Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA will celebrate its 35th anniversary. The Cooperative is physically present in 38 municipalities in the State, including two rural districts, being the only financial institution in these locations. The date marks the founding of Credidourada, in 1989, which arose from a collective need for members to cooperate for a more prosperous society. Today, the Cooperative also operates in Bahia, where it is physically present in Salvador and Feira de Santana, with an operating area in 54 cities.

Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA has maintained growth in all its financial results. The increase in 2023 was 15.8% in the number of members; 20.4% in total resources; by 24.5% in credit operations + CPR and by 24% in its net equity, according to the annual presentation of the financial statement during the 2024 Assemble Cycle meetings. Social responsibility is also a hallmark of the institution, which in addition to maintaining financial products and services together with its associates, it works in the community in a practical and effective way.
