Socio-instructor agent Joecio Francisco de Lima, 59 years old, fell ill and died this Thursday (2) after trying to help the director of the Socio-Educational Center (CSE) of Roraima in a confusion at the unit. He was taken to the General Hospital of Roraima (HGR), but did not survive.
According to the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (Setrabes), the case began when the teenager tried to escape the unit, at which point the director managed to restrain him, but was injured by the stone that was with the socio-educated student. The agent then went to help the director.
During the journey, he fell ill and was helped by his colleagues. They took Joecio to Roraima General Hospital. The server died due to a cardiorespiratory arrest, according to the folder.
“Setrabes deeply regrets what happened and reinforces that it is providing all assistance to the agent’s family, including psychological support and whatever else is necessary […] It also informs that the team on duty will also receive institutional care”, he said.
The secretariat reported that the case was reported to the Judiciary and the teenager involved in the attack on the director was taken to routine administrative procedures with the Civil Police.
