Man is shot during fight with neighbor in Salvador
A man was shot in the chest during an argument with a neighbor in a condominium in Salvador. According to the Military Police, the case happened on Thursday night (2), in Patamares, after children played football in a prohibited area of the residence. The suspected shooter fled and is wanted.
“The initial motivation was a child’s game, football. The ball went through the window and hit a neighbor’s property. He didn’t know how to deal with the situation, which led to a disagreement”, said a resident of the condominium, who did not want to be identified. .
The resident also reported that those involved in the fight were the neighbor who had the item broken because of the ball and the father of the boy who played football.
Both had firearms in the house and shots were exchanged. Around seven shots were heard by residents. The duo’s names were not disclosed.
According to the Civil Police, only the child’s father was hit. He was taken to an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) and transferred to the State General Hospital (HGE) afterwards. There is no information about his health status.
The case is treated as attempted qualified murder for ill-conceived motives. The police did not detail whether the children witnessed the crime, nor whether those involved carried a weapon or not. The revolvers were seized and taken to a police station. The investigation was launched to investigate the case and witnesses will be heard.
