Brazilians remain hegemonic: take 10th South American Under 20 title

The Brazilian women’s under 20 team won its 10th South American football title in advance in Guayaquil (Ecuador). in the early hours of this Friday (3). Even champion, Brazil returns to the field on Sunday (5) for the last game of the table, against Peru, at a time yet to be defined by Conmebol. So far, the team has won seven in eight games. There were 17 goals scored and only four conceded.

The South American brought together 10 teams in the initial phase, which were divided into two groups. Brazil was in B, along with Colombia, Venezuela, Chile and Bolivia. In group A, there were Ecuador, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Peru. The women’s team advanced to the final hexagonal in advance after winning the first three duels of the group stage – Chile (5 to 1), Bolivia (2 to 0), Venezuela (2 to 1) – and losing the last to Colombia (2 to 1). Then in the hexagonal they scored four consecutive victories against Argentina (2-0), Paraguay (3-0), Colombia (1-0) and Venezuela (2-0).
