The first stage of the Inow Circuito Capixaba Bodyboarding takes place this Saturday (04) and Sunday (05), at Barra do Jucu, in Vila Velha. Considered one of the most important circuits in the sport, the stage will bring together athletes from Rio of January and other states in the country in the dispute.

The circuit is carried out by the Espírito Santo Bodyboarding Federation (FEBBEES), in partnership with the Department of Sports and Leisure (Sesport), through a Public Call. In total, four stages will be held throughout the season.

The competitions will be in the Professional (men’s), Open (men’s and women’s) categories, Master (men’s), Beginners (men’s), Under-18, Under-16 and in the People with Disabilities (PcDs) category. One of the new of this This year is the unification of the Open and Master categories for women, increasing the number of athletes in the knockout stages.

Bodyboarder Lucas Nogueira, who is covered by Sesport’s Bolsa Atleta program, stands out as the main figure of the competition. In 2023, he consolidated Sunin the sport by winning the tenth state title in the Professional category. Over the past six years, Lucas Walnut boasts an impressive winning streak on the state circuit.

The second stage is scheduled to take place between the 13th and July 14that Praia do Morro, in Guarapari.

Athlete Scholarship

Bolsa Atleta’s main objective is to benefit high-performance athletes and para-athletes, with monthly financial assistance that must be used to maintain the results obtained and the athlete’s sporting career in the year in which the benefit is received.

With an investment of R$3.9 million, the 2024 call for proposals reached a record number of high-performance athletes selected, with 234 selected, 43 more than in the previous call. Those selected will be paid 12 monthly installments, according to the category: student (R$500), national (R$1,500), international (R$2,000) and Olympic (R$4,000).
