The former president’s itinerary for Expoagro was released to the press this Thursday (2)
The former President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), will be welcomed with a motorcade followed by a horse ride when he arrives in Dourados next week. The politician arrives in the municipality located 251 kilometers from Campo Grande on May 14 to participate in Expoagro 2024, an agricultural fair in Mato Grosso do Sul.
Details about the itinerary were passed on to the press this Thursday afternoon (2), by federal deputy Rodolfo Nogueira (PL), together with the president of the Rural Union of Dourados, Angelo Ximenes.
Nogueira, coordinator of the former president’s arrival, explained that Bolsonaro should arrive at Ponta Porã Airport at around 1 pm, where he will head to the city where the event will take place. The trailer’s route will have as its starting point Antenor Martins Park, in Jardim Florida.
In the Marcelino Pires extension, close to the Exhibition Park, the former Head of State and supporters will join a delegation of horse riders until the Expoagro party. In the Rural Union auditorium, located inside the Exhibition Park, Bolsonaro will meet with rural producers.
Also according to the parliamentarian, the visitor will talk to the general public before finishing the agenda with dinner for guests at a location to be scheduled.
“It is an invitation from the entire bench in this state for us to strengthen our ties, discuss politics, talk to the people, which is very important and we will move forward with this proposal of creating a different Brazil and having a political party with this objective”, he says Bolsonaro in a video excerpt published by Nogueira.
Visit – Bolsonaro was already in Mato Grosso do Sul as Head of State. He was in Corumbá and Nioaque in August 2020; in Terenos in May 2021 and in June of the same year he visited Ponta Porã.
In December 2021, Bolsonaro was at the Campo Grande Municipal Market. He would go to Bonito, where he would take a helicopter to Carmelo Peralta, on the border between Paraguay and Brazil, in the city of Porto Murtinho. The laying of the cornerstone of the Bioceânica Route bridge over the Paraguay River was scheduled to take place, but weather conditions prevented the remainder of the trip.
