In the late afternoon of today, 02/05/2024, the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of Brusque, after exchanging information with the Civil Police Intelligence Directorate (DINT) and several steps taken, executed an Arrest Warrant Preventive, to the detriment of a 47-year-old male, issued by the Single Court of Sete Quedas – Court of Justice of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.
The arrest took place in Bairro Dom Joaquim, close to the residence where the fugitive was living, when he returned from work.
UNDERSTAND THE CASE
In September 2023, after an argument with his partner, the driver threw her to the ground and attacked her with several punches and kicks.
After the crime, in order to avoid arrest in the act, the perpetrator fled the scene and was subsequently murdered in Paraguay. However, since the end of 2023, the fugitive had been residing in Brusque, remaining in this condition until the moment of his arrest today.
The case took on a large proportion in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and caused a lot of social commotion, not only due to the high degree of violence that was carried out, but also because the attacks were caught by video surveillance cameras present at the scene of the crime.
The motivation for the attacks was simply an argument between the couple.
Once arrested, the suspect was taken to the Brusque Civil Police Station and, subsequently, to the Brusque Prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the Judiciary.
