In total, there will be 23 actions, including external collections with the mobile unit and for bone marrow registration, scheduled collections and educational lectures.

The superintendent of Hemorrede Tocantins, Pollyana Gomes, says that “these actions are carried out constantly. We are always looking for strategies to increase blood donations. Raising society’s awareness of the need for voluntary, spontaneous and habitual donation, so that we can guarantee the fulfillment of transfusion demands throughout the State of Tocantins”.

The superintendent added that “to close a partnership, for External Collection and/or Scheduled Collection, companies and/or institutions can contact us by telephone at 63 3218-3232 / 9 9944-8763 or by email at hemoto.doesangue@gmail. com” where they will be directed to the responsible unit according to the partner’s municipality.

One of the Hemocentro’s partners is Afya Faculdade de Ciências Médicas/ITPAC Palmas, which since 2020 has mobilized its students to donate blood. “Since 2020 we have mobilized our students, teachers and administrative staff for this blood donation action, as we understand the important role of the academy in this work to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and bone marrow, the attitude goes beyond the gesture of solidarity, as it can help save many lives”, highlighted the president of the Internal Commission for Accident and Harassment Prevention (Cipaa) at Afya Palmas, Cleiciane Campos.
