The Air Operations Unit of the Federal District Traffic Department (Detran-DF) caught a silver VW/Gol vehicle circulating without a license on Monday afternoon (29). Agents from the Sentinela helicopter observed the vehicle in a suspicious situation in DF-001 and made contact with the ground team, who approached the driver at Bar Santa Fé, in Jardim Botânico.
When consulting the system, the agents also identified that the vehicle had 458 traffic violations in its records, the majority of which were for traveling at a speed above the permitted speed on the road, running a traffic light, traveling in an exclusive lane, among other irregularities. that put road safety at risk.

The vehicle, with R$ 77,582.70 in debts related to taxes, charges and fines, had expired licensing since 2015 and was taken to the municipality’s warehouse, in Asa Norte.
Operation Strong Tower
Operation Torre Forte is carried out using the Sentinela helicopter and ground support vehicles. Through consultations, agents identify vehicles belonging to persistent offenders, who have put the population at risk. Once identified, the Sentinel helicopter is activated to locate and monitor the vehicles until agents on the ground approach them.
The objective of the operation is to remove vehicles with a large number of infractions recorded in their records from the streets, as their drivers demonstrate that they do not care about the rules and put the safety of everyone traveling on the roads of the Federal District at risk.
