-

A strong storm hits Rio Grande do Sul and, since Monday (29), has left 10 dead and 21 missing in 104 municipalities hit by heavy rains, which destroyed houses and bridges, toppled trees and slopes and left people and animals stranded .

On Tuesday night (30), the federal government sent two helicopters from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) to fly over the region of Santa Cruz do Sul, Sinimbu and Candelária in search of stranded people.

The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSDB), stated that, so far, the heavy rains hitting the state are similar to those of November last year.
