The Secretary of Works, Thomas Elson Landim, said that the works are on schedule. “Several work fronts are involved in the project. A team works on the internal and external plaster and subfloor. In addition, another team carries out the waterproofing of the gutters, excavation to install the cisterns, laying the window sills and laying the covering and flooring in wet areas”, explained the secretary.

Mayor Diogo Balieiro Diniz said that one of the reasons for choosing the location for the construction of the school unit is to ensure greater safety and facilitate school access for children and teenagers who live in that region and who, to study, need to use the busy Via Dutra. “Families will be provided with a new teaching unit, closer to home and safer to leave their children. The new school includes a modern structure in an area of approximately 3 thousand square meters, with almost 2 thousand square meters expected to be built. Soon, the school will be ready, providing greater comfort and accessibility for students”, said Diogo, adding that the school has been an old demand from residents.
