DF professor is investigated for storing child pornography

Civil police officers from the Special Police Station for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (DPCA) carried out, this Tuesday morning (30/4), a search and seizure warrant at the home of a 45-year-old public school teacher. The suspect is the target of operation Profanus, which investigates the storage and sharing of child pornography in the Federal District.

At his home, in Taguatinga, investigators seized a computer, notebook and cell phone. The investigations began in 2017, as part of the second phase of the Federal Police’s Ciranda de Pedra operation. At the time, repeated practices of sexual abuse of children and adolescents were found, as well as the exchange and storage of pedopornographic images.

In October 2023, the material was sent for investigation to the DPCA/PCDF. The Federal Police assisted in the investigation through the Coordination for the Suppression of Cybercrimes related to Child and Youth Sexual Abuse. The seized electronic material will be subjected to expert examination by the PCDF Criminalistics Institute.

If pornographic content involving children and adolescents is found, the teacher may be sentenced to up to 4 years in prison. It will also be determined whether he committed any type of sexual abuse and whether, in addition to storing, this type of material was produced.
