Brazil has 46,236,308 active CLT contracts. The value for the end of the first quarter of 2024 represents a positive variation of 0.53% in relation to the previous month’s stock.
In the last 12 months, Caged shows 1.65 million new jobs. The balance is the result of 23,795,523 admissions and 22,148,018 formal dismissals.
All sectors hired in the first quarter. During the period, the highlight was services, with 419,286 admissions. Next come industry (+155,461 jobs), construction (+109,911), agriculture (+19,278) and commerce (+15,091).
In March, the average admission salary in Brazil was R$2,081.50. The value represents a real reduction of R$5.25 (0.25%) compared to February. The average remuneration received at the time of dismissal increased by 0.75%, from R$2,165.53 to R$2,181.71.
Among the federation units, São Paulo allows hiring. With 213.5 thousand new formal positions, the state is followed by Minas Gerais, Paraná and Santa Catarina. Only Alagoas and Maranhão fired more than they hired in the quarter.
