The Social Service of Commerce (Sesc) is a private, non-profit entity, which is part of the Fecomércio System, Sesc and Senac – under the presidency of businessman Hélio Dagnoni. Since 1946, Sesc has transformed the lives of thousands of people from Santa Catarina for the better, standing out for its social nature and operations throughout the country.
The set of initiatives over these seven and a half decades represents the effective commitment of businesspeople in the trade of goods, services and tourism towards the Institution’s mission of: “promoting socio-educational actions that contribute to social well-being and quality of life of workers in the trade of goods, services and tourism, their families and the community, for a fair and democratic society”.
Among Sesc’s main responsibilities are the planning and execution of actions marked by excellence in the areas of Education, Health, Culture, Leisure and Assistance, with a wide range of events and services. The Institution is present in all regions of the State, with 32 operational units, three accommodation facilities and nine blocks of the Sesc Comunidade project, in addition to networks of schools, restaurants, clinics, theaters, libraries, gyms and other spaces, where it carries out its activities. actions.
Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, After school hours, Youth and Adult Education, Pre-university exams, preventive health activities, encouraging the practice of physical activities and sports, Dentistry, Nutrition, Cinema, Theater, Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Development Community, Social Work with the Elderly, Work with Groups make up the wide range of activities that Sesc offers to workers in the trade of goods, services, tourism, their families and the community in general. These are actions that benefit children, young people, adults and the elderly and bring about real transformations in their lives.
