In 2023, the state of Acre received a total of R$25.8 million allocated only to Education, by the Ministry of Education (MEC), for investments in federal government programs, such as Escola em Tempo Integral, Compromisso Nacional Criança Literacy and Connected Schools.

In addition to this resource, another R$56.23 million is planned until 2026, exclusively for the recent Pé-de-Meia program, which should cover around 19.6 thousand students in the state.

It is worth noting that an expansion of the program was recently announced and should have an impact on the amount invested and the total number of beneficiaries.

In addition to funds from the MEC, the state also received investments through the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), in which 18 new buses were purchased, as well as 16 works focused on the educational area, totaling R$ 149.4 million.

Among constructions and renovations, 37 are stopped or unfinished and can be covered by the PAC, totaling more than R$46 million. Meanwhile, the Federal Institute of Acre (Ifac) is expected to gain a new campus, with a planned investment of R$25 million. The Federal University of Acre (Ufac) should be provided with a new University Hospital, implying a transfer of over R$50 million.
