With the aim of keeping the population informed about the situation in cities hit by heavy rains since Monday (29/4), the State government, based on information gathered by the State Civil Defense, publishes daily bulletins with data on the situation of the municipalities. Reports are published for the duration of the rain emergency.

Bulletins containing updated information on state Civil Defense actions and the situation of the population in affected cities are published twice a day, at 9 am and 6 pm. All updates can be accessed on the government and Civil Defense websites.

The situation of the population in the municipalities where damage caused by rain occurs is determined based on information provided by the Civil Defense of each location. The number of homeless and displaced people and the total number of people affected are available, in addition to the number of missing people and deaths, among other information.

Alerts

To increase the level of prevention, people can register to receive weather alerts from the state Civil Defense. To do this, it is necessary to send the location’s zip code via SMS to the number 40199. Then, a confirmation is sent, making the number available to receive the information whenever it is released.

It is also possible to register via the Whatsapp application. To access the service, you must register by calling (61) 2034-4611 or clicking here. Then, you need to interact with the customer service robot by sending a simple “Hi”. After the first interaction, the user can share their current location or any other location of interest to them to receive messages that will be forwarded by the state Civil Defense.
