Back at Flamengo after obtaining a suspension, Gabigol is expected to face Amazonas this Wednesday. Rubro-Negro faces the Manaus club at Maracanã, in the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, and the number 10 asked for the fans to be present.
“I’m happy to be back and to be with my teammates. Looking forward to tomorrow, I hope the Maracanã is full. If I can make a request, I hope the fans will come,” Gabigol declared to “FlaTV”.
During the period in which he was away, in fact, Gabigol received a lot of affection from the fans. On social media or at Maracanã, the attacker was not forgotten and, therefore, stated that he felt represented by the affection.
“I’m grateful for the affection they had for me, the messages and the flags at the games. I always felt represented. I hope Maracanã is full, but the most important thing is that Flamengo wins”, he concluded.
Flamengo and Manaus face each other this Wednesday, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in the first game of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil 2024. The return duel, however, will be on May 22, at Arena da Amazônia.
