Copa ES 2024: With a goal from the president, Capixaba beats Sport-ES in its debut | holy spirit cup

The opening round of the Copa Espírito Santo 2024 reserved a duel between the namesake Sport Club Capixaba and Sport Clube Brasil Capixaba. Home team, the centenarian Capixaba left the field with a 3-0 victory over Sport-ES, on Monday night, at the Manoel de Araújo Oliveira stadium, in Vila Velha.

In the final stage, at 11, young Diguda hit a beautiful shot from the edge of the area and scored Tubarão’s second. At 21 minutes, from a penalty kick, president Daniel Costa scored the third goal.

With the result of 3-0, Capixaba added the first three points and leads the Copa Espírito Santo. Tubarão has the same score as Porto Vitória, who also won on their debut, but is ahead on goal difference. Defeated, Sport-ES takes the lead in the state competition.

The 2024 Espírito Santo Cup continues on the weekend with the second round games. On Saturday, at 3pm, Capixaba visits Vitória-ES, in Salvador Costa. On Sunday, at 4pm, Sport-ES, in charge of the field, hosts Desportiva Ferroviária, at Engenheiro Araripe, in Cariacica.
