Expert explains what fungi are

Four trails aimed at observing and preserving fungi were launched in the parks of Chapada Diamantina, in the municipality of Palmeiras, and Serra do Conduru, in the city of Uruçuca, both in Bahia. The trails have a diversity of species of living beings, including one that can transform ants into “zombies”. Visits are paid and are now open for scheduling.

The project that originated the trails appeared in 2022 and was titled “Micotrilhas da Bahia”. The prefix “mico” is used in biology to indicate subjects related to fungi and mushrooms.
