Woman is killed with a gunshot to the face in the interior of Bahia | Bahia

A 33-year-old woman was killed with a shot in the face in the early hours of this Saturday (27), in the village of Alegrete, in the city of Aramari, about 127 km from Salvador. According to the region’s Civil Police, the main suspect in the crime is Vanuza dos Santos’ companion, who committed suicide after shooting the woman.

The police interviewed the victim’s mother. She said that Vanuza and Gildo de Jesus, 43, had been together for six years. Vanuza left an 8-year-old daughter, from another relationship, but who lived with her and Gildo.

The woman also reported that the couple’s coexistence was not considered good due to Gildo’s excessive jealousy.

According to information from witnesses to the police, Gildo used a shotgun to shoot Vanuza in the face. Then he picked up his stepdaughter, still sleeping, and took him to a neighbor’s house. Afterwards, he returned to the property, sat next to the woman’s body and shot himself in the face.

At the police unit, the woman denied having called the police and said she did not want to record the man’s threat. Because of the woman’s decision not to criminally represent the case, the two had to be released from the police unit. The man left the police station about an hour before the woman, who was advised to look for the unit within six months, if she decided to file a police report.

Hours after Emmele Maria left the police station, the two met again and the victim was killed. The suspect was arrested red-handed.

Still in Conceição do Coité, another woman, aged 41, died after being beaten in her house. The body of Edneia Nascimento dos Reis was found with signs of beating. Two children, daughters of the victim, witnessed the crime. According to information from the Águia Resgate Brigade, witnesses said that the suspect of committing the crime was a companion of the victim, who fled the scene by jumping out the window.
