Young people in OVG programs receive Social Credit and Qualification Grant

Ninety beneficiaries of the Youth Programs of the Goiás Volunteer Organization (OVG) received, this Saturday morning (27/04), Social Credit and Qualification Grant cards, initiatives of Goiás Social.

162 certificates of completion of free courses offered by the Technological College (Cotec) in partnership with OVG were also delivered. The deliveries took place during the II Family Meeting of the Tecendo o Futuro Youth Center, in the East region of Goiânia.

The qualifications were aimed at beneficiaries of the Tecendo o Futuro Youth Center and the Universitário do Bem (ProBem) and Meninas de Luz programs, who took courses in basic English, digital marketing, beauty services and basic IT, with a 40-hour workload.

The honorary president of OVG and coordinator of Goiás Social, first lady Gracinha Caiado, remembers that Social Credit encourages entrepreneurship in the most vulnerable population, who want to learn a new profession and undertake.

“The most effective social policy is one that enables a true crossing, a door out of poverty. We work so that families in Goiás have dignity and autonomy and can have the opportunity for a better future,” she says.

Social Credit

Social Credit guarantees the transfer of up to R$5,000 to students who meet CadÚnico requirements for the purchase of inputs and tools in the area of ​​training. The amount does not need to be returned to the state, but the beneficiary must make some social contribution in the region where they live and in the area of ​​the completed course.

Scholarship Qualification

The Qualification Grant of R$250 per month is granted with the aim of preventing school dropouts and encouraging the completion of training and qualification courses.

Future

The desire to guarantee a better future for her family led Raika Ramalho de Jesus, 17 years old, to sign up at the Tecendo o Futuro Youth Center and participate in professional qualification courses.
“I’m proud of myself. I will become an entrepreneur and work hard to improve my life,” she celebrates.

The general director of OVG, Adryanna Melo Caiado, emphasizes that the Center was designed to offer security, comfort and dignity to adolescents and young people in situations of social vulnerability. And most importantly: prepare them for the job market.

“I am very grateful to Cotec and Retomada. Your partnership makes a difference in the lives of our young people”, he concludes.

“These young people now have two exit doors from vulnerability. They can take social credit and undertake in the area of ​​knowledge or look for a place in the formal job market. We have more than 4 thousand vacancies open throughout the state looking for qualified people like they are now”, advises the secretary of state for Retomada, César Moura.
