Mato Grosso is among the four Brazilian states that will close their 2024 accounts in the black. In addition to Mato Grosso, only São Paulo, Amapá, Espírito Santo will also close with positive accounts. In other states and the Federal District, the balance will be negative, with a total estimated bill of R$29.3 billion. The data comes from the study carried out by the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan), based on data from the National Treasury Secretariat (STN) and released on Friday, 26.
Already on the list of the most indebted is Rio de Janeiro with a deficit of R$ 10.4 billion, a third of the total deficit. Next are Minas Gerais with R$4.2 billion, Ceará with R$3.9 billion and Paraná with R$3.5 billion.
