Former president declares that there was no corruption in his government; participated in a motorcade in the capital of Sergipe this Friday (April 26)
Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) stated this Friday (April 26, 2024) that he will return to govern Brazil and said that there was no corruption during his government. Statements were given during an event with supporters in Aracaju (SE).
“And if you are here today it is because you are moved by the same principle, which is mine, yours, ours, your love for your country, your fear of our God, your certainty that Brazil will be a great country in a future very much its own. We will return, we will not give up on our Brazil”he said.
The former president also said he did not fear investigations against him and denied having committed irregularities.
“The ‘petralhada’ calls me everything, xenophobic, homophobic, racist, but they don’t call me a thief […] Keep investigating whales, furniture, jewelry, investigate whatever you want, there was no corruption in my government, because it was a government that respected the Brazilian people”stated.
Earlier, upon arriving in the capital of Sergipe, he was received by supporters at the airport. Afterwards, he participated in a motorcade through the city streets.
