Bus leaves the track and falls into the river in Ponta Grossa

A bus left the road and fell into a river on BR-376, in Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais do Paraná, according to the Federal Highway Police (PRF). The accident happened around 5am this Friday (26), at km 460.

Two people suffered moderate injuries and two others suffered abrasions. In total, 13 people were in the vehicle, according to the PRF.

The injured were taken to the Emergency Care Units (UPAs) Santana and Santa Paula.

To the RPC, the driver said he did not remember if there was any problem with the brakes or a flat tire.

“That’s just the police [perícia] will tell you what really happened. But the important thing is that everyone is fine, just thank God for deliverance,” he said.

The vehicle belongs to Viação Umuarama and operates on the Francisco Alves x Curitiba route. O g1 try to contact the company.
