Senator Jorge Seif (PL-SC) went to the Senate plenary this Tuesday (7/5) to ask forgiveness from his voters for going to the Madonna show last Saturday (4/5), in Rio de Janeiro, and saying that he did not know the content of the presentation.

“I disappointed my electorate. I went to a show that did not represent some of our values ​​and people felt disappointed with me”, stated the Bolsonaro parliamentarian.

Seif began to be harshly criticized by supporters and supporters for his appearance at the pop singer’s concert. He stated that he went to Rio at his wife’s request and claimed to have only stayed there for 40 minutes. Seif also stated that he was unaware that the event would be “honoring issues that we didn’t know would occur”.

The parliamentarian from Santa Catarina also apologized to the people of Rio Grande do Sul, who have been facing serious flooding, and Santa Catarina.

Other allies of former president Bolsonaro also attended Madonna’s presentation: the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL); Fabio Wajngarten, lawyer and former head of the Social Communication Secretariat under Jair Bolsonaro (PL); and makeup artist and friend of Michelle Bolsonaro (PL), Agustin Fernandez. All those mentioned were in the VIP area of ​​the event.

The day before the show, Madonna did a rehearsal with erotic poses and with the presence of singer Pabllo Vittar.

The Queen of Pop’s list of bold performances is long. In 1989, 35 years before the performance in Rio de Janeiro, a video for the song “Like a Prayer” alternated images of sexual and religious connotations, which caused a reaction from the Catholic Church.
