Known for his pro-censorship activism on social media, Lulista YouTuber Felipe Neto defended his freedom of opinion after being denounced by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), for insulting him.

Lira called the Legislative Police against the left-wing influencer, this Thursday (25), after Neto called the President of the House “excremental” during a hearing on the regulation of social networks in the Chamber.

At the time, Felipe Neto demanded that Congress approve the “fake news” PL – also known as the Censorship PL. The YouTuber said that the project is not related to “censorship” and accused the “extreme right” of creating a “narrative” to block the vote on the proposal.

Ricardo Noblat came to the defense of his PT colleague: “Arthur Lira puts freedom of expression at risk.” When sharing, the seal impersonator agreed: “That’s exactly it. A satirical criticism with a pun cannot be compared to a hate crime and an attack on Democracy.” Be brave!

They want a safe conduct to spread hate, to curse, to attack, but when a conservative does something similar, it proves his danger to democracy.

What the left preaches, deep down, is its right to offend, to spread hatred, to be satirical or even to wish the death of conservatives, all while calling simple criticism of supreme ministers an “attack on democracy”. It’s the height of hypocrisy!

Nor do I reject the possibility that one or another more limited person actually believes that they are defending “freedom of expression” when they preach censorship on the side they abhor, but this phenomenon is increasingly rare. With social media, it has become easier to expose the group’s contradictions, and it is usually necessary to resort to dishonesty to insist on such a contradictory point of view.

When I If I offend someone I don’t like, that can only be freedom of expression. After all, they are “fascists”, “wild animals” that need to be “annihilated” and “extirpated”. All in the name of protecting democracy and freedom of expression. If someone on the other side uses exactly the same term against one of “ours”, then it is necessary to ban him from the public square and perhaps arrest him.

This is precisely the stance of Felipe Neto, André Janones and other PT members. They want a safe conduct to spread hate, to curse, to attack, but when a conservative does something similar, it proves his danger to democracy. One weight, two measures. The old trick of every authoritarian who thinks he is better than others and, therefore, above the laws and rules, which must always be isonomic.

In time: Lira chose legal paths against the offense she received. If Alexandre de Moraes had been the target, she would have already ordered the arrest of the person responsible. This proves that the left created a state of exception, created the “crime of opinion” that tramples on the due legal process provided for “crimes” against honor.
