State deputy advisor in Acre arrested; investigation only by the Civil Police of Pernambuco | Latest: Pernambuco.com

Former TV presenter Rio Branco and advisor to state deputy Afonso Fernandes (Progressive), Tiao Silvawas arrested this Thursday (25) in Rio Branco, in Acre. He was arrested by the state Civil Police, but the investigations are the responsibility of the Civil Police of Pernambuco.

The moment of the former presenter’s arrest was recorded by residents of the region and the video circulating on social media shows Tião Silva being taken by the police to the police car. He was not handcuffed and also did not show resistance during the execution of the arrest warrant, carried out by the Drug Trafficking Police Station (Denarc) and the Special Resources Coordination (Core).

So far, the reason for Tião Silva’s arrest has not been disclosed, but unofficial information suggests that he was involved in drug trafficking and that the Acre Civil Police would not pass on information due to the fact that investigations are taking place in Pernambuco.

The former presenter was taken to the Criminal Investigation Police Station (DEIC) and sent to the Flagrantes Police Station (Defla), where he awaits the decision to bring him to Pernambuco.
